Ideally, if we talk about feminine and masculine energies, both of them should be presented in everyone of us, and should co-exist harmoniously and organically, without any disbalance.
However there are instances when there is more of one energy than another, and vice versa. What does it really mean? It means that even if you have female body, you can still act and think like a man. Which then can make people around you confused, especially men. And they in turn start acting like women, not obviously but subtly and gradually. But this is a different topic.
Let’s look at signs of disbalance of both energies – sunny energy of masculinity (Sun), and moon energy of femininity (Moon).
Too much Sun
Here are the signs of too much masculinity:
+ Inability to listen. You find it hard to simply listen and always try to argue or ignore another person.
+ Inability to communicate with women. You may see them as your rivals, or you don’t know how to talk to them.
+ Being obsessed with details. Like, too much.
+ Lack of patience. You cannot sit still and feel like you need to act, all the time.
+ Having despotic tendency on a leadership positions.
+ Constant attempts to control others.
+ Your intellect is leading, all the time. That means you analyze everyone and everything around you.
If you noticed something that looks familiar, take notes and try to reflect about it and observe it. And now let’s look at the other side, the side of too much femininity.
Too much Moon
Here are the signs of too much femininity:
+ Inability to make a decision. It takes a long time for you to do it.
+ Inability to control your feelings and emotions. And so, everyone around you is aware of them.
+ Inability to share your thoughts. You just cannot speak your mind.
+ Inability to communicate with men. In a healthy, womanly way. You are either shy, or embarrassed, or simply do not know what to say.
+ Acting passively, especially on a leadership positions. You’d rather hide or stay away.
+ Too many worries, especially when trying to make a decision.
+ Too many emotions. And they take total control over you.
+ Being passive aggressive, towards yourself and others.
+ Victim mentality.
+ Being dependent from other people’s opinion.
+ Attempts to pass the responsibility to others when there is a need to make a decision.
How to determine which one to work with? Pretty easy. You may have already noticed whether you are too sunny, or you have too much moon. Once you know this, you will know what to emphasize in your thoughts and actions. You may sit down and make a list of things you found in yourself. And then make another list, of what you think could fix that and plan of actions. Usually this is the list of the opposites.
For example, if you are too emotional and cannot think clear when you are overwhelmed with feelings, try to calm down and to not make any decision. Simply come back to it when you can actually think and use your intellect, instead of emotions. If you noticed yourself talking over other people too often, mentally remind yourself that you can try to let another person finish before you can begin to share your opinion. There are many moments when we follow the same path out of habit. The secret is to live those moments mindfully and learn to become more balanced, healthy woman, that have both masculine and feminine union of energies.
