Chronic fatigue is a curse of a modern world. Almost every person has it, and especially women. So many of us are constantly tired, no matter how much we sleep and have rest on the weekends, and even after ten days of vacation we feel tired again very soon. What’s the deal?
While there can be various health reasons, for women specifically it is important to have rest in a feminine way – a woman’s type of rest. What is it? Well, let’s see. How do you normally rest? What do you do to relax after work or on a weekend or a holiday? It would probably look like this: you go shopping, meet up with your girlfriends, do yoga or fitness or dancing, watch educational movies or read smart books, clean your house, go for a hike, or to the museum, or maybe go out at night.
That all sounds great and amazing. However, don’t be surprised that you are chronically fatigued, have a lot of negative emotions, headaches, you are depleted, weak and not in the mood to be light, playful and inspiring. Why is that? Because all of those things you do to relax are actually male types of rest. Yes, not female. All those relaxation techniques are good for masculine energy and masculine mind, not feminine. And here is why.
Masculine Rest vs. Feminine Rest
For a man’s body active types of relaxation are very beneficial: everything that makes them stay active, that exhausts their body and mind. This always brings more energy and power to a man, not to a woman. For a woman it will be depleting, simply because of her nature (that I will explain in just a moment). Yes, sometimes shopping and meeting with girlfriends is also very beneficial and nourishing and gives us energy, but it doesn’t really provide us a complete and deep rest that our female body and mind need.
Feminine energy moves horizontally, to the sides. Masculine energy moves vertically, up and down. And if for a man’s body it is very energetically healthy to stay upward and do all sorts of vertical exercises or practices, for a woman’s body the most beneficial way would be to lay down and stay horizontal, to allow the energy flow back in.
Remember, that all masculine is active, and all feminine is passive. So for women, to really have a true rest, it is best to be passive. It will give us our own specific feminine energy, our power, it will balance out our hormones that directly influence our beauty and health. It will make us like a beautiful, deep and glowing river, full of joy, love and happiness. Let’s look at some examples of feminine in nature to understand why passive rest is a true rest for us, women.
Water
This is a wonderful feminine element. For the water to become more nutritious and clean, we let it sit for a while. It allows all the debris and particles to go down, and all the unnecessary chlorine to evaporate out. We also put some additional precious metals or crystals to charge the water and leave it alone like that. We let it stay still completely until it is clean and fully charged. Then it is the most potent.
Earth
Another great deeply feminine element. Everyone who works with earth knows that to make it fertile. We shouldn’t plant anything in it every five years, letting it to have rest, get enough of sunlight and warmth, and be filled up with rain. And one whole year the earth stays like that, having complete rest and recovering, accumulating her power and fertility.
Night
It is a very feminine time, dark, quiet and passive. It is the time when everything calms down, stops and sleeps. Night brings silence and peace and has an amazing energy of femininity. Night brings power to all the living beings and creatures so that all of us can be full of energy when the day comes.
For these reasons, it is crucial for a woman to have a feminine rest. It is ideal to have it once a week, but if this is not possible – once a month is simply mandatory. And that means – to be absolutely passive and do not engage in any sort of activity whatsoever. You can plan your next time and gather some ideas if you cannot think of anything right away. Here are some of the things you could do.
Not To Do List
Lounging on the couch. Staying silent all day long, no talking at all. Visiting a quiet and peaceful place, somewhere in nature. If you want yoga, then very slow and soft, like yin yoga. And if you want movies – non-violent, gentle, kind and maybe romantic ones, not educational. If you want reading – also, nothing scientific or anything motivating, simply enjoyable and pleasant. Taking a long bath with candles and essential oils, no listening to any news or educational audios. Listening to a calm and peaceful music. Dreaming. Not making any decisions. Watching clouds. Watching water. Stretching. Doing something that you always wanted to do but thought it was a waste of precious time – this is the best you can do.
In brief, it is pretty much doing nothing, except that you do something – you let your body and mind to finally have a complete and total rest. I realize that most modern women will think it is a total waste of time and will drive them nuts, unfortunately. It is due to the habit of hustling and rushing somewhere all the time. It is also due to the fact that we got used to being like men, to compete and resolve things, to be active and alert. We got used to live in masculine. Well of course, we don’t have any other choice if we want to survive and be successful. But we are also still women, and need to cherish ourselves. We need to understand our own, very different, nature. We need to recall how important it is to come back to ourselves.
So just remember how you should really rest if you are born in a woman’s body. Value your nature, don’t try to be someone you are not. For you, as a woman, to stay energized, light, inspiring, playful, happy, laughing, beautiful and magnetic, it is important to have a proper feminine rest. And now you know how to do it.
