There is a big difference between self-love from the Ego and self-love from the Divine. What is the difference? The self-love from the Ego is not healthy. It is when we indulge in unhealthy life patterns and behavior, do not treat our bodies as divine creations and neglect our needs. Self-love from the Divine is when you constantly in contact with your Divine self, you know why you are here, what for and where to go. You treat yourself with the highest form of self-love, self-respect and care.
When a woman learns the divine self-love, and when she finally masters the ocean of her own self, she lives her life in a completely different way. One way to see if this really happened is if a woman is completely happy being alone and is content with just herself.
How to love yourself?
The way to start loving yourself from the Divine perspective is to turn your sight inside your own self. When woman does that, she realizes that everything she needs is already within her and all she needs to do is to look inside. When the power of all the answers inside, she stops looking for answers in the outside. That includes people that might give answers too – partners, friends, therapists and counselors. Once the true wisdom is achieved, the source of all happiness is found and stays there, within her.
When a woman knows herself, she knows what she wants, and most importantly – what she does not want. It is hard to learn that if we constantly depend from something or someone in the outside world. Now, that does not mean we have to ignore everyone who is dear to us, but we have to first of all listen to what is inside of us prior to making a decision. This way, we stay true to our own self and do not betray or hurt ourselves anymore. But to be able to do that, we have to learn to direct our attention inside, and keep diving into ourselves.
Practice of Self-Love: Exercise
It may be hard to do, especially with the way the whole society works. We are being taught what to do and how since the very first day. Very seldom we have a true freedom where we can express our deepest desires and needs. At some point, we simply chose not to do that anymore because it is either not socially acceptable or does not have a proper way of expression, according to the same society. Unfortunately, this leads to women forgetting about their strongest and most precise tool – intuition.
There is a simple but effective practice of bringing the intuition back.
Take a piece of paper and right down 100 things you love and desire. You can make yourself some delicious drink, light some candles, get yourself in the mood. And start writing. Once you are done, take a sip of your drink, and then read them all slowly one by one. As you read, try to monitor what you feel inside – is it warmth? Or you feel cold? Or indifferent? When you feel warmth and excitement, this is truly your own thing and desire, not someone else’s. You can also put your hands on belly or chest to help yourself get in tune with your body better. In the end, you will be left with just a few desires that make your heart and soul sing. Those are YOUR TRUE DESIRES. Now, it is time to get up and do them all one by one!
As inside, so outside
Remember, everything that surrounds us at any given moment of time is something that was created, or attracted, by ourselves. As inside, so outside. When we recognize and remember that, we treat all situations and people with gratitude because we realize they are but the reflection of our own selves. When we are not clear about what we want and who we are, we are getting ourselves into some shady, vague circumstances or get connected with people that would not make us feel good. Simply because this is exactly how we are inside towards ourselves – vague and not happy. When we know who we are, we know what we want, we don’t allow situations or people that can hurt us to come in our lives. We recognize immediately what it can bring, and simply refuse to let it in. Mindfully, with love and full awareness.
Once we know and love ourselves, we also remember that most people are in the same exact process. They often still don’t know what it is – to love themselves. This concept is too unclear for most people or considered as something selfish. By knowing who we are, we respect people’s struggles and attitudes. By loving who we are, we notice people’s self-destruction and choosing to simply accept that without an attempt of changing that. Because there is nothing else that we can do being someone from the outside. As them themselves need to heal from the inside, just like we did it before.
By knowing and loving herself, a wise woman make choices out of love, she is not hoping to change partners, she is not willing to become dependent from someone else, she is not mothering anyone else. She lives from her own complete contentment, self-worth and clear understanding of her own nature.
Stay true to yourself, darlings! ♥
